Country Floral Suite Cards

Hello Friends! The new Stampin’ Up! 2023 Mini Catalog is now live and I want to share with you a couple of cards made with one of my favorite Suites in it. The Country Floral Lane Designer Series Paper, the Country Gingham Designer Series Paper, the Country Bouquet Stamp Set, and coordinating Country Bouquet Punch are not just for Valentine’s Day! They can be used to make cards for many occasions-Friendship cards, birthday cards, Thinking of You cards, and more. I just love these cards made by Stampin’ Up!

Country Floral Lane Friend Card

Take a piece of Thick Basic White Cardstock cut at 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ and fold it in half for the card base. Cut a piece of the Sweet Sorbet diagonal designer series paper to 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ and glue it to the white card base. Cut a piece of the hearts designer series paper to 3″ x 4-1/4″ and a piece of Sweet Sorbet Cardstock to 3-1/8″ x 4-3/8″. Adhere the two pieces together and then to the card front as shown. Stamp an open heart and the greeting in Sweet Sorbet Ink on scraps of Basic White Cardstock. Stamp the twig leaves in Mossy Meadow ink and cut them out. Stamp the leaves in Mint Macaron Ink and punch them out, as well as the stamped heart and a smaller Sweet Sorbet heart with the Country Bouquet Punch. Cut a piece of Balmy Blue Cardstock to 3/4″ x 2-1/2″. Adhere the greeting to the strip of Balmy Blue Cardstock and adhere it to the lower part of the card front. Add the stamped twig leaves and the two Mint Macaron leaves behind the stamped heart with Glue Dots. Add the small heart and the twine to the front of the stamped heart and place this whole piece onto the card front with Stampin’ Diminsionals as shown in the photo. What a sweet card for one of your friends!

Do you like using designer series paper on your cards, but don’t want to purchase a whole pack? Do you like to have coordinating cardstock to match your designer series paper, but don’t need 24 sheets? I’ve talked about this with several customers lately who don’t like to purchase whole packages, so I’ve decided to offer enough designer series paper and matching cardstock to make 4 – 6 cards in one package for a much lower cost. I will be adding these on my blog next week, so check here then!

Speaking of blogs, I’ve changed my blog and given it a new name. It’s now just Classy Cut-ups (without the “creations” on the end). It’s kind of bare right now, but I’ll be working on it this week.

Hello Friends,

I’ve had to make a new blog with a new name. I hope you like this one even more than the other one!

Today is September 1st. Can you believe it? I can’t! It seems like Christmas was only about 3 months ago-time just flies by so quickly.

I want to share a card I made today using some designer paper that was mailed to me as an RAC (Random Act of Kindness). I belong to several Facebook groups and we send cards to different members. It’s fun and exciting to get cards in the mail all the time! Would you like a card from me? Just send me an email with your name and address at terry.duncan088@gmail.com.

This card was made with the Kindest Gnomes Stamp Set, which I love! I don’t know why because I’ve never liked gnomes-until last year. I saw some Christmas cards online that were made with gnome images and I just loved them. (I still don’t like the ones people have on the lawns though.)

The gnome was stamped with Momento Black Ink and colored with Cajun Craze, Crumb Cake, and Ivory Stampin’ Blends. I don’t know why, but I started fussy cutting him out before I realized I have dies for this stamp set! I used Cajun Craze Cardstock for the mat and Crumb Cake for the cards base.

I used Kindest Gnomes Stamp Set and matching dies for last month’s Card Class in the Mail. All 5 cards were for Christmas. Here is a sneak peek:
