I’m so sad the Hand-Penned Petals Stamp Set didn’t carry over to the new 2023 – 2024 Stampin’ Up! Catalog! It was one of my favorite sets and I’ll miss it. I made this card the other day and I just want to share it with you. You can make this card with almost any of the new flower sets available this year.
The flowers were stamped on Basic White Cardstock in Momento Black Ink and colored with Highland Heather, Lemon Lolly, and Mint Macaron, and Pear Pizzazz Stampin’ Blends. If you haven’t tried the Stampin’ Blends yet, you don’t know what you’re missing! They are so fun and easy to use. The card base is from a card set that was available last year, as well. It is Mint Macaron with white dots.
I love the greeting! It is from the February Paper Pumpkin Kit, Sunshine and Smiles. I will be using it a lot! What is Paper Pumpkin? You can find out more here. Each month you get a FREE stamp set with your kit.

When I was in Japan, I received an email from one of the editors of Creative Scrapbook Magazine telling me they would like to include 2 of my cards in their magazine! Of course, I agreed! Since I was in Japan, I had to have my daughter search my craft room for the original cards and mail them to the company for me. (I was shocked she could find them since I have a couple dozen, large shoeboxes full of cards in there.) Anyway, she sent the 2 cards in and I filled out all the paperwork online. Today I received a copy of the Summer Edition of Creative Scrapbooker Magazine with my cards in it. Needless to say, I was so excited seeing my cards in a magazine!
The new 2023 – 2024 Stampin’ Up! Catalog is now live! If you don’t have a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator, I would love to be yours. Let me know if you need a catalog. If not, you can see the catalog by clicking on the photo of it in the right column.

I am currently on one of my greatest journeys at this time – I’ve been in Japan since the end of December and am having a fabulous time! I’ve seen and done so many wonderful things! Sadly, I’ll be leaving at the end of this month to go back home and I will miss being here. However, I have missed the rest of my family and making cards while I’ve been away, so I have seeing them to look forward to, as well as getting back into card making.
I didn’t make these cards I’m showing, but do intend to get this bundle and make them when I return because camping has always been one of my greatest joys, too!
These 3 cards are made with the Greatest Journey Bundle from Stampin’ Up! The first one on the left is the easiest one to make and the one on the right is the most involved. None of them are difficult, but some card makers prefer simple and easy to adding more elements on their cards. Which one do you prefer?
Greatest Journey Bundle Step-by-Step
Inspired by Your Courage Card (4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″) (10.8 x 14 cm)
Looking for a nature-themed stamp and die set to help you send love to the rugged mountain men in your life? We’ve got you covered with the Greatest Journey Bundle! CASE one (or more) of these fab cards for your next workshop, team meeting, or to frame and hang in your craft space!
BEGINNER To create the Inspired by Your Courage card, stamp the trees in Garden Green ink on a 4-7/8″ x 3-3/4″ (12.4 x 9.5 cm) piece of Basic White Cardstock. (Tip: Stamp off to get lighter tree images to achieve a sense of depth.) Cut the stamped piece into three 1-5/8″ (4.1 cm) panels and adhere them to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Stamp the grass image with Starry Sky ink on a piece of 5/8″ x 3″ (1.6 x 7.6 cm) Basic White Cardstock. Stamp the sentiment on a 3/4″ x 2-3/4″ (1.9 x 7 cm) piece of Basic White Cardstock and adhere it to the card.
CASUAL For the Greif nach den Sternen card, use Designer Series Paper for your 4-7/8″ x 3-3/4″ (12.4 x 9.5 cm) piece, cut it into three 1-5/8″ (4.1 cm) panels, and adhere it to the Starry Sky Cardstock card using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Stamp three trees and die cut. Die cut the cloud and moon. Use Tuxedo Black Memento ink to stamp the sentiment on the 3/4″ x 2″ (1.9 X 5.1 cm) Basic White Cardstock piece and adhere to the card.
AVID If you would like to go further and create the Une montagne de mercis card, cut the mountain pattern from Enjoy the Journey Designer Series Paper and adhere it to your card. Die cut the mountain shapes from Shaded Spruce and Garden Green Cardstock, then emboss the Shaded Spruce mountain shape using the Timber 3D Embossing Folder; adhere them to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Cut the hiker in Night of Navy Cardstock and adhere a small piece of Mango Melody Cardstock behind the lantern to make it light up.

Did you know you can make beautiful, printed ribbon by stamping on solid colors? This is a great tip from Stampin’ Up! this week. I’ve done it before two or three times, but only to stamp a greeting for my cards. Here, one of the artisans from Stampin’ Up! has stamped small, solid hearts on a strip of the 7/8″ Natural Finish Ribbon and “Happy Valentine’s Day” on piece of the 3/8″ Petal Pink Polyester Ribbon in Sweet Sorbet Ink. How cute is this!
I especially like the use of the 7/8″ Natural Finish Ribbon because it’s wider and you can use small stamps to decorate it easier than with the thinner ribbon. I don’t know about you, but this has given me lots of ideas for using all the solid color ribbon I’ve been collecting and hoarding over the years!
To make the box, cut Sweet Sorbet cardstock at 7″ x 7″ (18 x 18 cm), then score all four sides at 1-1/4″ (3.5 cm). Cut slits to create the box corners, then fold the paper and secure it with Stampin’ SEAL+. Then take some 6″ x 6″ (15.2 x 15.2 cm) Designer Series Paper and score it at 3/4″ (1.9 cm) on all four sides. Again, cut slits at the corners and secure it together with Stampin’ SEAL+.
Next, take out your Love for You Stamp Set, some Sweet Sorbet ink, a strand of Natural Finish 7/8″ (2.2 cm) Ribbon, and Petal Pink 3/8″ (1 cm) Soft Polyester Ribbon. Stamp the heart image directly on the Natural Finish Ribbon and then stamp a sweet Valentine’s Day sentiment on our Petal Pink Ribbon. In order to keep the ink from smearing, leave both ribbons to dry for a few hours. Once the ink is completely dry, use the ribbons to tie a bow around the box, and add a few Heart Pearls to finish off this special Valentine’s Day giftbox.
Check out these other samples, too. On this card, a Stampin’ Blend was used to color down one side of the Natural Finish Ribbon adding a nice border.
And on this card, the ribbon was stamped with an open design, allowing the ribbon to show through.
Click on the photo below to see the Natural Finish Ribbon used on other projects, as well. Make sure you get yours today and start decorating!

I’ve had to make a new blog with a new name. I hope you like this one even more than the other one!
Today is September 1st. Can you believe it? I can’t! It seems like Christmas was only about 3 months ago-time just flies by so quickly.
I want to share a card I made today using some designer paper that was mailed to me as an RAC (Random Act of Kindness). I belong to several Facebook groups and we send cards to different members. It’s fun and exciting to get cards in the mail all the time! Would you like a card from me? Just send me an email with your name and address at terry.duncan088@gmail.com.
This card was made with the Kindest Gnomes Stamp Set, which I love! I don’t know why because I’ve never liked gnomes-until last year. I saw some Christmas cards online that were made with gnome images and I just loved them. (I still don’t like the ones people have on the lawns though.)
The gnome was stamped with Momento Black Ink and colored with Cajun Craze, Crumb Cake, and Ivory Stampin’ Blends. I don’t know why, but I started fussy cutting him out before I realized I have dies for this stamp set! I used Cajun Craze Cardstock for the mat and Crumb Cake for the cards base.
I used Kindest Gnomes Stamp Set and matching dies for last month’s Card Class in the Mail. All 5 cards were for Christmas. Here is a sneak peek:
